I am glad to have the opportunity to share my experience with Erasmus + mobility with my colleagues from Singidunum University. I chose France, so I’m spending this winter semester in Paris at CY Tech University.
As it is usually the case with every beginning, there were some difficulties, mostly due to the notorious French bureaucracy, but all that was forgotten with a couple of croissants.
Although everyday life is much more expensive compared to what we are used to, France offers financial assistance for accommodation, transportation, as well as other student benefits (including free entrance for the majority of museums).
As someone who had a great desire to change the environment and meet new cultures for a long time, I can confirm that Paris was an excellent opportunity for that. I would recommend student exchange to anyone who wants the opportunity to meet and see something completely new and I think it is a great way to get out of your comfort zone. I learned to organize my time better because I had 9 subjects that I wanted to take this semester, as well as a part-time student job.
I also finally got the chance to live completely alone and see what it is really like. I met a lot of students from various faculties and I am sure that I will keep in touch with most of them – it was a real pleasure. I invite all those interested to contact me by email for more details and I will be happy to share my full experience and advice if they decide to go to France.
