Sport

Today, the University has men and women sports teams in basketball, volleyball, football, and handball. Some great tennis and table tennis players are our students. Intensive efforts are being invested in creating new team sports, individual sports, and new clubs such as water polo and swimming.

Not only do our students participate in Belgrade University League, but they also take part in numerous international competitions, such as EuroMilano, Tournoi Des 5 Ballons, Paris, EuroValencia, EuroIbiza, Euroijada held in Thessaloniki, Istanbul, Prague, Paris, Berlin. They have also won many medals in all of these competitions. The Singidunum University handball players were the world champions at the competition held in Beirut, in Lebanon. In our teams, we have both amateur sportsmen students and professional athletes and national team members who eagerly participate in all sports activities organized by Singidunum University.

Our University sports teams train in excellent facilities in the sports halls at the complex of the Serbian Institute of Sports and Sports Medicine in Kosutnjak. The House of Sports of the first national training center of the Institute of Sports and Sports Medicine of the Republic of Serbia is a facility that has the most modern conditions for a wide range of sports activities in the area of over 5.000 square meters.

Mobility

Student mobility is an opportunity for students to study abroad whilst undertaking their under or postgraduate degree programmes at their home university. The benefits of student mobility are numerous. Besides getting to know new people and learning about other cultures, students have a chance to improve their foreign language competence and gain new international and inter-cultural experience. A recent study has shown that the study period abroad develops key-competences, required by a modern labour market, making a students mobility a great asset for increasing employability both in our country and abroad.

Singidunum University offers its students a number of mobility opportunities for studies but also traineeship, enabling the mobility students to gain work experience in an international environment.

The mobility is organised under inter-institutional agreements with foreign universities, or within the Erasmus+ programme which, other than tuition-fee waiver, offers an Erasmus+ Grant, as a contribution for the travel a substance cost. Erasmus+ exchange students are also given access to Erasmus+ Online Linguistic Support to help them learn the language used for the studies, or the language that is spoken in a host university country (applicable to mobility between Programme countries).

A study period abroad can last from a minimum of 3 months (or 1 academic term or tri-mester) to a maximum of 12 months.
