Singidunum University has been a member of the IBM Academic Initiative since 2006. Since then we are using IBM tools in the curriculum, mainly for analyzing and designing application software and developing intelligent Business Intelligence systems, on the basis of which successful students receive academic certificates. As in July 2019, IBM bought Red Hat, Singidunum University has become a member of Red Hat Academy in December 2020.

Red Hat, Inc. is an American multinational software company that provides open-source software products to enterprises. Founded in 1993, Red Hat has its corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina, with other offices worldwide. It became a subsidiary of IBM on July 9, 2019. Red Hat provides storage, operating system platforms, middleware, applications, management products, and support, training, and consulting services.

Our students have free access to the complete content of the Red Hat Academy with online materials, lab hands-on exercises, knowledge tests, and finally receive a certificate of successful completion of the course, while they receive a 50% discount on commercial certificates.

How to access RHA courses?

  1. Create a Red Hat ID. Instructions are provided on this link >>
  2. Send your Red Hat ID and email from which you are registered with the RHA, to the instructor.
  3. After the instructor has added you, you will receive an email confirming that you have been added to the system as a student and that you can log in to the RHA Learning platform.

If you are motivated and passionate about using Red Hat technologies, you can apply for the position of student ambassador of the RHA program at the University. The student ambassador will be in direct contact with the RHA team and work on nurturing the success of the RHA program at the University, which includes organizing events, presentations to industries, conducting technical workshops that encourage the use of RH technologies among colleagues. To enroll in this program, a Red Hat Academy instructor at your institution should nominate you through the Red Hat Academy Learning Platform. Once a student is nominated, the regional RHA program manager will contact the student directly for further steps.
